8月8日(日)　ヒロシマ・ナガサキ　メモリアルコンサート

今年は広島・長崎の両市に原爆が投下されて65周年を迎えます。5月にはニューヨークで核不拡散防止条約（NPT）再検討会議が開かれました。日本からも100名余のヒバクシャを含む2000人あまりの市民が当地を訪れ核廃絶を訴えました。
メルボルンでは、今年もJfP は恒例のピースコンサートに加え、プレイベントとしてピースボート制作ドキュメンタリー映画：「ヒバクシャ地球一周　証言の航海」上映会を企画しています。
この地球上にはいまだに2万発以上の核兵器が存在しています。被爆者の方々のメッセージ、「核兵器と人類は共存し得ない」、「ヒロシマ、ナガサキの悲劇を決して繰り返さない」を受け留め、以下のイベントを開催します。被爆65周年が「核ゼロ」への道となるよう多くのみなさまのご参加を期待しています。 続きを読む →

Public forum: Guam: The Struggle Against Militarisation of the Pacific

Speakers:
Dr.Lisa Natividad, a Chamorro leader and social worker from Guam, will speak on the militarisation of the pacific. She is Secretary of the Pacific Association for Radiation Survivors and is concerned about the social and health costs of militarisation.

Maki Yonaha, Japanese for Peace, will give “An Update on the US military base in Okinawa and its Connection to Guam”.

Nic Maclellan, Journalist and researcher on the Pacific islands
